National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), Australia’s leading national body funding world-class, game-changing, breast-cancer research has launched a new innovative campaign to engage tradies around Australia in its valuable cause.
“Tradies have the tools to get the job done, for NBCF it’s their researchers.”This is the one of the key synergies that has helped drive and bring the concept to life.
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. 53 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer every day and 1 in 7 women are diagnosed in their lifetime. More than 3000 Australians will die from breast cancer this year. That’s someone’s mum, sister, daughter or friend. Research is the only way to improve the treatment outcomes for all of those diagnosed.
That’s why NBCF and its long-standing partner, Bisley, are calling on all tradies and businesses in trade industries around Australia to help raise vital funds for game-changing research. By hosting a Tradie Tea Party, the support you provide will help build towards a breast-cancer breakthrough and stop breast cancer taking the ones we love. The funds raised will go towards NBCF’s world-class researchers as they work tirelessly to detect tumours earlier, improve treatment outcomes, and ultimately save lives.
More Work To Do
Since the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s inception in 1994, the five-year survival rates for breast cancer have improved from 76% to 91%. It’s proof NBCF’s strategy of funding targeted, breast-cancer research is working. But the job’s not done. Your contribution will work towards NBCF’s determined goal to reach zero deaths by 2030.

Impact Of Your Fundraising:
- $100 – could support a world-class research team to uncover how factors such as location, demographics and socio-economic conditions impact survival outcomes
- $500 – could support a world-class research team to develop an innovative new blood test to more easily diagnose breast cancer & detect cancer relapse
- $1000 – could support a world-class research team to develop bet ter predictive tests that detect the presence of resistant cancer cells well before they start to grow as a secondary cancer.
