Monster and James Courtney make it official
Following a 12-month hiatus from V8 Supercars, Monster Energy recently announced that they’re making a long awaited return to the V8 Supercars Championship, via a newly formed relationship with James Courtney and the Holden Racing Team.
WTW caught up with James for a quick chinwag about why he decided to hook up with a Monster…
WTW: This brand seems a perfect fit for your style and that of the V8 Supercars Championship…
James: ‘The Monster brand is not only a great fit for me, but for Supercars. It’s fast, aggressive, exciting and it brings a lot of colour. I can’t wait to have it on the car.’
WTW: Are you aiming to start an energy drink war within the V8 Supercars Championship?
James: ‘I think there’s definitely going to be an energy drink battle between Triple 8 and us. I think Monster’s the more dominant brand. It’s definitely got more attitude, so I can’t wait to bring that to the table.’
