Ross Gardam Polar Desk Lamp

It’s an Aussie product so it must be good, and although we can see it’s a desk light, the rest is a bit over our heads.

Here’s what the sales blurb says: ‘A circular motif is used throughout the Polar collection defining its minimal operative form.

The Polar Desk Lamp utilises a unique magnetically attached arm to allow the disc to rotate around the body directing or shadowing light. A friction disc in combination with magnets molded into the ceramic body allows the arm to slip into place and function.

Polar’s ceramic base is handcrafted using traditional slip casting and the surface is bisque fired and presented unglazed. The face side of the disk is available in polar white, or matt black with custom colours available on request.’

There you go. It’s obviously worth every cent of the $938 asking price.
