Recovery ‘beast Mode’ With Isuzu Fy Range

As Australia’s COVID-recovery effort continues in earnest, the country’s truck market leader stands together with the nation’s trade and construction industries – providing an endless range of quality, fit-for-purpose and application-specific capital equipment.

Isuzu Trucks’ line-up of light- and medium-duty trucks has long been a staple for Aussie tradies, but their larger cousins in the medium- to heavy-duty FY range also present genuine bang for buck and unrivalled application suitability.

For operators seeking productivity and genuine cost efficiencies, Isuzu’s range of twin-steer FY Series trucks, (sitting within the 30,000kg to 35,000kg GVM band), presents a compelling case.

These tried and tested workhorses find a home in varied construction and trade applications such as concrete agitation work, water and liquids transportation, civil construction and materials transport applications, mining and line haulage.

Isuzu’s FY model variants include both 8×4 and 10×4 options, a choice of three different transmissions, airbag rear suspension and multiple wheelbase configurations.

Isuzu’s FYH and FYJ models are built tough, fitted with the finest American driveline componentry available, including names like Meritor, Hendrickson and Allison.

Notably, all FYH and FYJ Auto models feature Allison’s superior 4430 automatic transmission, where the former 3200 transmission remains the industry norm.

All new Isuzu FY Auto models have now been updated with a revised axle ratio of 5.286:1, improving stability in testing conditions and assisting overall performance.

The update improves the FY Auto models’ overall gearing and on-road performance at cruising speeds – comparable with manual-transmission options – but with minimal impact on fuel economy.
