Alan Agyik was born in Brisbane (1976) to a Hungarian father and Finnish mother. Athletically gifted from an early age, the knockabout young Aussie played rugby league, represented Queensland in the pool and won various track ‘n’ field accolades.

It was this talent and passion for sports that Al chased to university where he studied a Bachelor of Science, before swapping the active wear for brews and surfing. In the post study period 2002-2006, Al and his high-school sweetheart, Katie, bought and sold a post-war house in Brisbane, got married and started an Audiology clinic on the Gold Coast.

In 2008, the couple rolled the dice, sold the practice and used the Oxford Scholars to launch DAS Resto Haus. Nowadays, their business is car restoration and business is booming.
