Kincrome Announced As Naming-Rights Partner Of SXS Championship

Leading Australian-owned tool company Kincrome has been announced as naming rights partner of the new-look SXS (Side by Side) Motorsport Australia championship.

Kincrome has had some small motorsport relationships in the past, but this is the company’s first major sponsorship in racing.

The 2021 Kincrome SXS Motorsport Australia Championship will offer a new format of off-road short-course racing, with each round consisting of two 100km races contested on unique 10km-15km circuits.

The 2021 championship will consist of events in seven different states and territories, and will include pit stops and co-drivers for the first time.

The seven-round championship will start in Rainbow, Victoria, on Saturday, March 13, and will continue at Alice Springs (Northern Territory, April 17), Kooralbyn (Queensland, May 15), St Helens (Tasmania, August 7), Kalgoorlie (Western Australia, September 11), The Bend (South Australia, October 16) and Nabiac (New South Wales, November 13).

BIG NAMES
The championship is set to include defending champion Jackson Evans and his 2018 titlewinning father Simon. Other drivers, set to be regular entrants include Dakar legend Toby Price, Australian Rally Champion Molly Taylor, last year’s runner-up James Shipp and high-flying female ace Amber Anderson.

THE RIGHT TOOLS
Kincrome is an Australian business that supplies quality tools and equipment to the professional trades.

Tools are designed in Australia, by its own product design team, incorporating input from Australian tool users.

Kincrome started its journey in 1987 with four staff, but now employs more than 150 and is still Australian family owned.

Kincrome has a great loyalty program called Blue Bloods for its loyal users and will be using events to activate and build its membership.

There will also be a focus on the company’s Tools For Life program aimed at supporting apprentices to get a start with their tools across all professional trades.

The Kincrome SXS Motorsport Australia Championship will offer just one of only eight Australian titles presented by Motorsport Australia and all brands of SXS vehicles are eligible to enter under the 2021 Motorsport Australia rules.

Each round will be run under the authority of Motorsport Australia with accredited event officials and safety personnel in attendance.
