IPhone Xs And Xs Max

We don’t actually get a damp patch in our tweeds at the thought of a new iPhone, but we know plenty of people do.

The newest incarnation of the almighty iPhone is the XS, and in case it’s not uncomfortably big enough for you, there’s the XS Max, which is even bigger.

Pronounced ‘iPhone ten S’, the new dog’n’bone has a stainless-steel body and comes in three finishes (gold, silver, and space grey), and it’s waterproof to two metres for up to 30 minutes.

As for the sizes, the iPhone XS has a 5.8-inch screen that’s larger than the 5.5-inch screen of the iPhone 8 Plus, and the larger iPhone XS, dubbed ‘the iPhone XS Max’, has a 6.5-inch display. Those screens are OLED displays, a technology from last year’s iPhone X that offers deeper blacks and brighter colours than the iPhone’s traditional backlight LCD display.

You can sign up for one on a deal from most phone-service suppliers like Telstra, Vodaphone and Optus, or you can plonk between $1670 and $2370 on the counter at the local Mac store to walk away with one. Mac’ll sell you one online, of course.
