Honda launches the 2018 innovation competition
With a history steeped in innovation and good design, Honda’s 2018 Innovation Competition is a passionate call to arms for Australian businesses, students and inventors to get thinking and start tinkering with Honda’s world-class engines.
National Sales Manager for Honda OEM, Erkan Bagdadi believes the competition underpins the company’s commitment to produce quality products and back Australian businesses.
“We’re asking people to get creative, not be bound by preconceived ideas and develop an innovative and unique Australian product which is powered by one of our Honda engines.
We want the competition to stimulate new product development in Australia, grow local businesses and help the winners scale their inventions both here in Australia and overseas.
It’s also a great way for our customers to show us how our engines are turning their dreams into a reality like previous innovation competition winner, Atom Industries – Drillmaster.” said Bagdadi.
Utilising one of Honda’s engines, Drillmaster inventor John Notaras dreamed up the world’s first 4-stroke engine powered drill with automatic reverse gear which safeguards the operator against injury by reducing the likelihood of the auger snapping
