Hitachi introduces new compaction equipment

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) has just announced the release of a new range of compaction equipment including vibratory plate compactors and rammers.

They say their compaction equipment range delivers power and performance in a convenient package and has been designed to suit a number of industry applications: perfect for councils, hire and rental companies and landscapers, as well as paving, trenching and civil contractors.

WTW understands the Hitachi ZV-P series vibratory plate compactors use safety cushions, reinforced bottom plate and triple vibration-resistant design to deliver high compaction, durability and easy operation. Boasting a low-amplitude and high-frequency, these compactors are an effective tool in the compaction of cohesive, granular and mixed soils.

The plate compactors incorporate a triple vibration-proof design and the rammers have a low-vibration handle. Both these features contribute to increased safety and reduced operator fatigue without compromising on performance.

Hitachi says their ZV-R series rammers have a similar combination of double reinforced base plates and a safety cushion and add that operators will benefit from improved stability and controllability on uneven ground as well as efficient manoeuvrability in confined spaces due to the compact machine design.

WTW understands a user-friendly throttle lever and an engine stop switch positioned close to the operator’s hand ensures safe and convenient operation.

HCA says equipment from Hitachi Construction Machinery is engineered and manufactured in Japan and designed to the highest quality based on decades of innovation across the mining and construction industry.
