Milwaukee presents the 2013 TEREX Australian Supercross Championships which are hotting up with the first two action-packed rounds going down at Darwin’s Hidden Valley raceway, 14,-15 September, in conjunction with the QBE Australian Superbike Championship.

The FMX action comes in the Speed & Style racing format which combines traditional Supercross racing and FMX stunts, with riders scored on their tricks as well as their speed.

Freestyle Motocross (FMX) legend and X-Games gold medallist Cam Sinclair will be joining Jackson Strong along with international FMX stars.

Cam said Speed & Style “uses part of the Super X track and a freestyle ramp. We do four laps and it’s head-to-head competition.”.

He said riders are given points for their tricks and times and crowds could expect to see fast riding combined with big freestyle tricks such as backflips and backflip combinations.

With the Red Bull X-Fighters no longer in Australia after two sell-out years at Sydney’s Cockatoo Island and Australia’s Nitro Circus Live 2014 dates not yet announced, the TEREX Australian Supercross Championships will be the only place to catch international FMX riders in the foreseeable future.

The Supercross Championships head to Mt Gambier, SA, on October 12 for round three before a hitting Phillip Island over the weekend, October 18-20 for rounds four and five in conjunction with the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix (Moto GP). The weekend will also host the first ever Australian Women’s Supercross Championship.

The battle for the six-round men’s series will reach a bloody conclusion at Toowoomba Showgrounds, November 16.
