DREAM 21ST BIRTHDAY PRESENT FOR MECHANIC APPRENTICE – A START WITH A WORLD-CLASS V8 SUPERCARS TEAM IN 2012

Josh Williams has kicked off his 21st birthday celebrations in style today.  The young mechanic apprentice was congratulated by the Tradingpost Racing team, live on track ahead of Bathurst last weekend, after winning the Tradingpost Racing Recruit – a national competition to find a mechanic apprentice to join the team in 2012.

Williams received the good news from Tradingpost Racing Team Manager Chris O’Toole, inviting him to join Will Davison and the Tradingpost Racing Team in 2012 and be part of the crew both on and off the track throughout the 2012 V8 Supercars Championship.

In a V8 Supercars first, Williams, who currently lives in Shepparton, was among entrants from around Australia who applied for the chance to complete their final year apprenticeship learning from some of the best in the business and at the peak of Australian motorsport, as the Tradingpost Racing Recruit in 2012.  The ultimate start within the motor racing industry!

After completing several round of interviews and tasks against other highly skilled mechanical apprentices, Williams was chosen as the Tradingpost Racing Recruit and will make the move to Melbourne and the team’s Campbellfield headquarters in January next year to take up the position with the team.
