Tackling 7000km in two weeks on a dirtbike through four states and every extreme from the desert to the snow is not for the faint-hearted.  The APC (Australian Property Centre) Rally kicks off tomorrow and Team WTW, headed by publisher Kurt Quambusch is excited about the challenge and raising money for the Sydney Childrens Hospital in the process.

On a brand spanking KTM690R with twin tanks and all the bells and whistles, Kurt has the support of his sponsors Ford Ranger, ENZED hydraulic hoses, Bearcat Tyres,  Terex Posi-trac Loaders and Hyundai Construction Equipment and is confident he will conquer the rally despite some obstacles in training.

“My brother-in-law Reece was supposed to be riding in Team WTW however he broke his shoulder during training and had to be airlifted out of the bush,” Kurt said.

Reece will now be driving the Ford Ranger support vehicle accompanied by shutterbug Tim Lanham who will be documenting the trip for video and print.

“It could be worse,” Reece said when describing his injury. “I still get to see this magical country but from the comfort of the Ranger.”

Keep up to date with their adventures on the WTW or Ford Facebook page and look out for the video and story in WTW DEC Issue!

Good luck lads!!
